My Mistake

EPISODE 9


After leaving pastors office, I decided to go for the first time on an extended time of fasting and prayers. I’ve never done that before. I wanted to go for a seven days stretch time of intense praying with fasting. I was very hopeful that something will come out of it before I ended. I contacted my pastor and told him about it and he surprisingly said he would join me and he will get some two other brethren to join me and that we will have vigils every night for that seven days.

“Thank you so much Daddy, I really appreciate this. You have been up and doing for me like I were your son. God will surely replenish you sir and sustain your life sir”. I prayed for him.

The seven days fast began and I was so into it. I switched off my phone so as not to get distracted. I was ready to begin the season with God. I really needed his intervention on my life because He is the only one I could turn to at that moment.
Men have failed me. Connections have failed me. Trying here and trying there have also failed me. Only God can intervene. He is the master story writer. He alone can turn my Darkest night into his perfect Dawn.
My life, destiny, future, marriage and establishment depends upon his intervention.
I made sure I spent all day in the church studying and praying extensively before the night vigil with pastor and the two other brethren. 


The more I studied and prayed, the more my eyes got opened to know that Satan, the accuser of the brethren has been at it before now. He will always steal, kill and destroy but I earnestly know that Jesus’ abundant Life which encompasses abundant peace, abundant rest, abundant wealth, abundant joy and abundant goodness will be given to me in no time.

My pastor was always busy in his office but he made sure he prayed along with me. Sometimes he comes out to see me and each time he did, he saw me praying and agonising at the place of prayers.

I decided to join Brother Anthony in the seven days fasting and prayers. With his cooperation, I got two other strong prayer team members in the warfare from our church because I believe in chain prayers and I have experiences and testimonies about it. One of them is the fact that it brought chain reactions which in turn brings chain answers that no one can disannul or disapproved.

From the first day, Brother Anthony was in church. He wanted to take this season very seriously. 

I was challenged by his zeal and faith towards God.

While I stayed in my office attending to ministerial matters, I, from time to time prayed that God will expel all the clouds that are covering the heavens over Brother Anthony's life.

The other two brethren were doing the same so we knew that before we get to the finish line of our seven days, God would have intervened marvelously.

The fifth day of the fasting and prayers came and I could feel literally that my spiritual faith and life wasn't the same anymore. From scriptures studying to travailing prayers, I knew that a major spiritual operation was being carried out in my life. I could feel the supernatural in me already. I knew I wasn't the same anymore but I need to gain the victory over the storms in my life.

That day, I decided to make my fasting a full day. That is dry fasting without food or water or even rest for a complete day.

I began studying as early as 7:30am. The more I studied, the more I prayed. It got to a point that I found a scripture where God himself told Abraham to fear not because He (God) is his exceeding great reward and inheritance. That was my focus.
I checked the reference and I saw so many wonderful promise starting from Abraham to Levi, to David and Solomon and so on. By the time I began praying, my spirit was completed stirred and on fire.


The evening vigil was something else. While we prayed, pastor kept seeing a cloud that is heavy and so pregnant with rain but the rains were refusing to drop. It was a spontaneous vision.

When he stopped us and told us what he is seeing, it triggered holy anger in each one of us and they put me in the center, locked their hands and began praying as I prayed with them.

Exactly an hour into that prayers, just as if a wave hit us, we began speaking and legislating issues in tongues. Those tongues were so heavy. I've never prayed like that before. They were spontaneous and very hot. I could fill the fire breath resident within those tongues God gave us utterance to utter. I was bold. We were bold. We could smell the victory. We could feel that indeed the battle was at its climax. Power indeed must change hands. 

We prayed in tongues for hours that we almost lost track of time and then suddenly my eyes opened.


What did Bro Anthony see this time?
Will it provide a lasting cure for his unknown remedies?
